NEW DELHI — In a major initiative aimed at bridging the gap between traditional civil engineering pedagogy and emerging digital site technologies, construction management software provider RDash has signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the RICS School of Built Environment (RICS SBE).
The academic-industry alliance is designed to equip more than 3,000 students and budding built-environment professionals with hands-on training in artificial intelligence, digital workflow automation, and cloud-native project management systems.
As India’s real estate and infrastructure sectors accelerate digital transformation, the partnership addresses an urgent industry demand: preparing site engineers, quantity surveyors, and project managers to operate with modern, automated enterprise workflows from day one.
Integrating Cloud-Native ERP and AI into Built Environment Education
Under the three-year agreement, RICS SBE will incorporate RDash’s specialized construction software suite into its academic modules and practical coursework. Students will transition from traditional spreadsheets and disconnected documentation tools to a unified, cloud-based platform covering the complete lifecycle of capital projects.
Key focus areas of the integrated training curriculum include:
- AI-Driven Cost Estimation & BOQ Management: Utilizing predictive models for intelligent Bill of Quantities (BOQ) generation, joint measurements, and budget variance controls.
- Real-Time Project Execution & Site Monitoring: Hands-on application of digital snag lists, automated daily progress reporting (DPR), and milestone tracking.
- Procurement & Supply Chain Controls: Training on end-to-end digital rate contracts, material goods receipt notes (GRN), inventory issuance, and automated purchase orders.
- Cross-Functional Design & Approvals: Managing multi-stakeholder design versioning, client change orders, and tiered financial approval hierarchies on a unified single source of truth.
Closing the Digital Skill Gap in Real Estate and Infrastructure
The construction and interior fit-out industries have historically remained among the least digitized sectors, frequently hobbled by communication silos between site teams and head offices, unstructured data, and weak cost controls.
By embedding RDash’s vertical SaaS architecture into tertiary education, RICS SBE aims to build operational readiness among future project managers. Rather than treating technology as an administrative afterthought, the program trains students to utilize AI copilot tools and predictive analytics for on-site problem solving, risk mitigation, and scheduling adherence.
The tie-up also reflects a maturing contech landscape across South Asia, where institutional educators are actively aligning with homegrown technology platforms to build enterprise-ready talent pipelines capable of managing large-scale, complex infrastructure portfolios.
