Sagar Cement has commissioned a second MVR 5000 C-4 vertical roller mill from Gebr. Pfeiffer for its Dachepalle cement plant in Andhra Pradesh, reinforcing its long-term partnership with the German engineering major. The new grinding unit, equipped with a 3870kW drive, is designed to deliver 210 tonnes per hour of ordinary Portland cement (OPC).
The investment builds on the success of an identical mill installed at the Dachepalle facility in 2018, which has been operating as a key component of the plant’s production infrastructure. The new project is being jointly executed by Gebr. Pfeiffer (India) and Gebr. Pfeiffer (Germany), with engineering design and technical support led by the company’s team based in Noida.
The addition of the second MVR 5000 C-4 mill is expected to enhance grinding efficiency, bolster output reliability and support Sagar Cement’s capacity expansion strategy in the southern market.
