Rithmik Solutions, a leading provider of OEM-agnostic, AI-powered performance analytics for mobile mining equipment, has announced that Hitachi Construction Machinery has made a minority strategic investment as part of Rithmik’s ongoing Series A financing round.
The investment deepens the growing collaboration between the two companies, positioning them to accelerate the development of next-generation smart mining technologies. By combining Rithmik’s real-time fleet and asset-level insights with Hitachi Construction Machinery’s global market presence and digital transformation roadmap, the partnership aims to deliver more intelligent, interoperable mining systems.
A core differentiator for Rithmik is its fully OEM-agnostic approach, enabling analytics across mixed equipment fleets from all major global brands. As mining operators increasingly seek integrated, site-wide digital solutions independent of manufacturer constraints, both companies view this alignment as a major competitive advantage—boosting interoperability, operational flexibility and scalable deployment across complex mining environments.
The Series A funding round also includes participation from Chrysalix Venture Capital, Sprout Fund, Fonds Ecofuel, Phoenix Fire and Developer Capital. The capital infusion will allow Rithmik to expand rapidly, strengthen support for its growing global customer base and enhance its product suite to help mining operations achieve improved productivity, reliability and sustainability.
“We’re honoured to collaborate with Hitachi Construction Machinery, a company that shares our dedication to innovation and operational excellence,” said Ross Barichievy, CEO, Rithmik Solutions. “By combining Hitachi’s global reach with Rithmik’s expertise in mining analytics, we aim to deliver unprecedented performance, reliability and sustainability to customers worldwide.”
Echoing this view, Eiji Fukunishi, Vice President and Executive Officer, President of the Mining Business Unit at Hitachi Construction Machinery, noted:
“This investment represents an important step toward building open digital platforms with diverse partners. Integrating Rithmik’s advanced AI-based analytics with our operational expertise will help deliver more flexible solutions while improving productivity and reducing environmental impact at mining sites.”
Rithmik’s technology brings Operations and Maintenance teams onto a unified, high-impact decision framework. Its advanced analytics move beyond traditional predictive maintenance by transforming complex equipment data into actionable guidance that optimises fleet performance, prevents failures earlier and drives measurable gains in production and maintenance efficiency.
The new funding will support Rithmik’s global expansion, accelerate product development and enable deeper integration into evolving digital mining ecosystems.
“As miners face mounting production demands, decarbonisation pressures and more complex operational conditions, this partnership strengthens our ability to support the industry’s shift toward sustainable, data-driven operations,” Barichievy added.
