JCB India has introduced its latest range of CEV Stage 5-compliant construction equipment at the Bharat Construction Equipment Expo, aligning with the latest emission regulations and advanced safety standards set by the Indian government. The newly launched machines, including backhoe loaders, telehandlers, skid steer loaders, compactors, and wheeled loaders, are engineered for higher fuel efficiency and a lower carbon footprint.

The CEV Stage 5-ready machines deliver a 10-15% improvement in fuel efficiency compared to their CEV Stage 4 predecessors. They come equipped with advanced emission control technologies, including a Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC) and Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), ensuring compliance with stringent pollution norms. JCB India has also integrated an enhanced fuel filtration system and extended filter replacement cycles, reducing maintenance costs and maximizing uptime for contractors.

Commitment to Sustainability and Innovation

Deepak Shetty, CEO & Managing Director, JCB India, highlighted the company’s commitment to sustainability and innovation, stating that the new lineup not only meets regulatory standards but also reduces operational costs while enhancing performance.

To ensure durability and reliability, JCB’s machines have undergone extensive testing, including 200,000+ operational hours and 70,000+ hours of developmental trials. They have been tested under extreme conditions, including high-altitude environments such as Leh and Ladakh at 4,500 meters, proving their robustness in challenging terrains.

Hydrogen-Powered Construction Equipment

At the expo, JCB India also showcased its first-ever hydrogen-powered backhoe loader prototype, reinforcing its role in the global shift towards alternative energy solutions. Since 2021, the company has actively invested in hydrogen-based technologies to reduce the construction industry’s reliance on diesel-powered machinery.

Pre-Owned Equipment for Cost-Effective Solutions

Recognizing the increasing demand for cost-effective construction equipment, JCB India has partnered with Shriram Automall India Limited (SAMIL) to facilitate the sale of pre-owned, certified JCB machines. This initiative provides contractors and infrastructure developers with affordable and reliable equipment, supporting India’s rapid infrastructure growth.

JCB India’s participation at the Bharat Construction Equipment Expo underscores its commitment to technological advancement, sustainability, and customer-centric solutions. With a focus on innovation-driven growth, the company is well-positioned to meet the evolving demands of India’s construction industry while supporting the nation’s green transition.
