SYSTRA Group Appoints Jean-Charles Vollery as New CEO

SYSTRA Group, a leading engineering and consulting firm specializing in public transport and mobility solutions, has announced the appointment of Jean-Charles Vollery as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective October 25, 2024. Vollery, who has been a member of the Executive Board since 2019 and previously served as Chief Operating Officer, succeeds Pierre Verzat in this role.

Leadership Transition and Strategic Direction

This leadership change follows the acquisition of a 58% stake in SYSTRA by Latour Capital and Fimalac, in collaboration with long-standing shareholders SNCF Group and RATP Group. Vollery will lead the company alongside Arnaud Jeudy, Chief Finance and Administration Officer.

Professional Background

Jean-Charles Vollery holds a degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in bridges from HEI and CHEC. With nearly three decades of experience in transport infrastructure, he has managed several major projects, including metros, conventional railways, high-speed railways, and motorways. Vollery joined SYSTRA’s Technical Department in 1996, working in the Civil Engineering and Structural Works division, where he managed projects in South Korea and China. In 2007, he was appointed Managing Director of SYSTRA in India. In 2012, he became Senior Vice President of SYSTRA in charge of the Asia Pacific region, based in Hong Kong. In January 2016, he joined the Executive Committee of SYSTRA Group, before becoming the Group’s Chief International & Development Officer and a member of the Executive Board in 2019. From July 2021 until now, Jean-Charles Vollery was Chief Operating Officer.
