
JK Cement, a prominent name in India’s cement industry and a global leader in white cement, has taken a significant step in its growth strategy by laying the foundation for a new grey cement grinding unit in Buxar, Bihar. The Bhoomi Pujan ceremony marked the beginning of this strategic expansion aimed at bolstering the company’s presence in Eastern India and contributing to the region’s development.
The foundation stone was laid by Dr. Nidhipati Singhania, Vice Chairman of JK Cement Ltd, Madhavkrishna Singhania, Joint Managing Director and CEO, JK Cement Ltd, alongside other senior officials. This milestone signifies the company’s commitment to meeting the growing demand for high-quality cement products in Bihar and strengthening its network in the region.
Dr. Raghavpat Singhania, Managing Director of JK Cement, shared his thoughts on this development: “Today’s foundation ceremony is a momentous step for JK Cement in Bihar. We are thrilled to bring our premium products to this dynamic market. This grinding unit will not only enhance our reach but also play a pivotal role in supporting Bihar’s infrastructure and economic growth. Our focus on innovation and quality ensures we cater effectively to the needs of this thriving market.”
The Buxar facility is expected to address the increasing demand for premium cement in Bihar and its neighboring areas. With a planned capacity of 3.00 MTPA, the unit will play a critical role in helping JK Cement achieve its target of crossing a production capacity of 30 MTPA by the next year. The project represents an investment of over ₹500 crore.
Madhavkrishna Singhania, Joint Managing Director and CEO of JK Cement, highlighted the project’s significance: “This new unit in Buxar is a key milestone in our growth roadmap.
